Charges laid after man attempts to flee police on stolen motorcycle

A Hamilton man is facing several charges after attempting to evade police on a stolen motorcycle in Port Dover.
OPP say officers were conducting regular patrols Tuesday around 8:12 p.m. by Port Dover beach when they noticed two motorcycles with license plate infringements.

When an attempt to stop the motorcycles was made, one driver fled while the other pulled onto the beach where they were taken into custody.
Thirty-seven-year-old Matthew Deiaco of Hamilton is facing five charges, including possession of property obtained by crime.
Deiaco is scheduled to appear in court on July 25.
