Charges laid after drug operation uncovered in Mississauga

A 32-year-old Mississauga man is facing drug trafficking charges after police searched his home and found approximately four ounces of cocaine.

Halton Regional Police launched an investigation into the accused after he was seen conducting several drug deals from his vehicle last fall.

Officers carried out a search warrant at a home in the area of Vanderbilt Rd. and Tenth Ln. West. in Mississauga on Thursday where they found a quantity of cocaine, $20,000 in cash, and several items consistent with drug trafficking.

Rishawn Simpson has been arrested and charged with trafficking of a controlled substance as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking.
