Charges against protesters at a Hamilton encampment have been dropped

Charges against six protestors who clashed with Hamilton Police at an encampment last year, have been dropped.
The peace bond includes not crossing any police caution tape, not interfering with police operations relating to the homeless, and not participating in any unlawful protests.
In November of last year, there was an overnight fire at an encampment at JC Beemer Park. Police and the fire department say they blocked off the area for safety, worried about propane tanks and heaters.
Protestors say they were coming to bring blankets and other necessities to those who lost their tents, but they crossed police tape.
The terms of the peace bond are in place until November of this year.
