Charge laid in case of fowl play

A Milton man is facing charges, after police found a stolen eight foot high fibreglass chicken in his backyard.


The faux fowl, worth about $3,000, was plucked from a poultry farm near Simcoe last Thursday night.

Police say they got an anonymous tip about the chicken’s whereabouts last night.

Brent Smith, 36, is charged with possession of stolen property. He’ll be in court April 23rd.
