Changes coming to HSR in wake of scandal

There are changes coming in the senior ranks at the Hamilton Street Railway. They’re coming in the wake of a sexual harassment scandal where the HSR has been described as an old boys club that will sweep problems under the rug. The changes were announced late last night.

They say that the problems are system wide, that the transit system, known as the HSR, has a poisoned culture that previously allowed for employees to act inappropriately while managers turned a blind eye. But they are hoping that this is the beginning of change.

Many drivers we spoke with talked about a problem with the culture, but this has tended to focus on a specific case. The city managers office did not return calls about how many complaints for harassment that the city has received.
