Central Hamilton stabbing leaves one teen in hospital

A Saturday night stabbing in central Hamilton has left a teenage boy in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say it happened around 10:30 p.m. near Cannon and MacNab streets.

Authorities say the boy was playing basketball when there was an interaction that left him with non-life threatening puncture wounds to the back.

There’s no word on charges and no suspect description at this time.
