Cellphone-style stun guns seized in weapons haul
A woman is facing 185 charges after Toronto Police seized several weapons.
A detective on the case told CHCH News he hasn’t come across some of these before.
Things like cellphones that act as a stun gun. 18 of them were confiscated by the Canada Border Services agency when a package containing them was discovered in Vancouver. That led police to a house in the Dawes Rd and Danforth Avenue area where they came across the rest of the items, including lipstick that actually appears to have tear gas inside, brass knuckles, and a submachine gun along with a 9mm handgun.
Police arrested Muna el Badriof, 23, of Toronto. She faces 185 charges, including importing/exporting a prohibited weapon. Her boyfriend though is still on the loose; 30 year old Keri McKnight of Toronto is wanted on 275 charges. He is considered armed and dangerous.
