Cats getting their kicks

It’s just one game into the new CFL season, and Tiger-Cats Head Coach and General Manager Kent Austin is already looking for ways to get his team to “kick it up a notch.”
The Ticats announced Wednesday the signing of non-import kicker Brody McKnight. His signing comes in the wake of Luca Congi missing a key 34-yard field goal attempt in the 3rd quarter of last Friday’s loss to the Argos. Congi, who connected on 89% of his tries last season, was 2 for 3 last Friday. So, enter McKnight, a 23-year old Vancouver native who was drafted 8th overall out of the University of Montana by Montreal in 2012. McKnight also punts, which means some subtle pressure will also be felt by punter Josh Bartel.
