Cathedral wins OFSAA again, capping three years of undefeated basketball

The Cathedral High School Girls’ senior basketball team are OFSAA champions again!
Two Hamilton High Schools faced off in the girls’ AAA OFSAA basketball championship game Saturday, with support pouring out for both teams as a winner was crowned.
St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School was a surprise to take on defending champions Cathedral High School in the final game hosted in Hamilton.
It was a close game in the first quarter, but Cathedral really took the minutes away from Newman with ball control.
Cathedral’s Grace MacDonald led her team in scoring, while twins Keira and Nicole Daly, alongside their cousin Rachel, brought this team to another level.
Cathedral clinched yet another win with the final score of 81-43, now boasting three undefeated seasons.
