Gold medal Olympian Cassie Campbell-Pascall stopped by Hamilton’s Ronald McDonald house this morning. She helped prepare and serve breakfast to families staying at the house, which is celebrating the launch of its hot meal program.

Campbell-Pascall asks people to give $300 toward the program, which she says would feed 40 families. “It’s just a nice treat for the families to come home after a long day at the hospital and be able to have a home cooked meal, especially to parents who are probably tired and hungry and it just kind of gives them that extra boost to ensure the top priority is taking care of their child.”

Campbell-Pascall has helped raise over $3 million in the past 10 years for the Ronald McDonald House near her home in Alberta. Ronald McDonald House helps provide housing to families with kids receiving medical treatment far away from their homes.
