Car slams in to Hamilton home

An investigation is underway, after a car crashed into a house in Hamilton early this morning.

Retired GO Transit worker Daniel Baughn and his fiancee escaped serious injury, but they just finished renovating their home on Upper Sherman Avenue and Munn Street. They’ll have to start all over again, after a Pontiac Sunfire drove into their living room, just missing their bedroom. Baughn says it caught him completely off guard.

Police didn’t find anyone inside the car but later found a 21-year-old man in the area. He was taken to hospital with a head injury. Charges are pending further investigation.
