The CANUSA Games is an Olympic style competition that began in 1958 with only 200 athletes, from Hamilton and Flint, Michigan, competing in 7 sport areas.

From these meager beginnings, the CANUSA games have grown and continue today. CANUSA currently brings together over 1400 athletes to participate in the friendly rivalry in 15 sports.

Matt Hayes was at the opening ceremonies at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium in Hamilton.
