Cannon St. shooting victim not cooperating: Hamilton Police

Hamilton Police say the victim in a weekend shooting is not cooperating with the investigation.

Officers were called to an apartment building on Cannon St. E, near Wellington Ave., around 5 p.m. Sunday.

A tenant was helping a man who had been shot in the stomach.

He told officers he had heard yelling from an apartment below and the victim had come to his door asking for help.

A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Police have confirmed he was shot in a different apartment than the one he was found in.
