One of the most popular resolutions this time of year is getting your finances in order. According to a CIBC poll the percentage of Canadians who have a positive outlook when it comes to their finances has dropped to 69% down 5% from last year and the decline in confidence is mainly centred in Alberta, Quebec and here in Ontario.

Canadians 55 and older continue to feel the best about their bank accounts but saw the biggest drop in this year’s survey, falling from 82% a year ago to 74% this year.

So whether you feel positive or you have some concerns, experts say the new year is an ideal time to make some changes so you feel prepared for the year ahead.
