Canadian man released in Congo

Foreign Affairs officials have confirmed a 24-year-old Canadian man, jailed in Congo following disputed presidential elections, is now free.

Fabien Kalala’s family says he was jailed because of his links to an opposition politician.

Human rights group reported a rash of arrests around the election.

The results are still being questioned.
