Canadian on Laos crashed plane

Authorities say at least one Canadian was among 49 people aboard a domestic flight that crashed in Laos Wednesday.
Laos is located in Southeast Asia, north of Thailand, west of Vietnam. The government there says 44 passengers and five crew members were on a plane that crashed in the Mekong River while attempting to land in Pakse, a city in the southern part of the country. Initial reports say the plane ran into bad weather. The remnants of typhoon Nari were drifting across Laos at the time. The passenger manifest also listed a number of people from France, Australia Thailand. An American was also on board.
