Canadian Army vehicles on Hamilton highways for training

Drivers are warned that they may see military vehicles travelling through the Hamilton area on Wednesday as the Canadian Army Reserve is conducting a small amount of military training.
Personnel from 31 Service Battalion – 23 Support Company will be doing convoy training including a planned, return route departing from Hamilton with dismount drills in Beamsville.
Members of the public may see military vehicles travelling on Highway 403, the Red Hill Valley Parkway, Lincoln Alexander Parkway, and Highway 8.
Lt. AJ McLaughlin says this training is necessary to maintain skills in convoy drills, as well as encourage unit cohesion and discipline.

Military personnel practice the operation of specific vehicle platforms, while confirming driver and safety procedures.
McLaughlin says activities are planned for Wednesday evening and all measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience to those in the area during the exercise.
