Canada’s top doctor says variants of concern are fueling the spike in COVID cases

New modelling data from the federal government shows the pandemic is once again in a “growth pattern.” Daily case counts and indicators of severity like hospitalizations and deaths are on the rise. Cases among older age groups are declining, while the incidence rate amongst people aged 20 to 39 is now the highest. Matt Ingram reports.
