Canada’s foreign affairs minister to visit Lebanon

Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne will meet with aid workers in Beirut when he visits Lebanon this week.
His visit is part of a multi-country tour comes and nearly three weeks after a powerful explosion ripped through Beirut’s port.
At least 180 people were killed, including two Canadians.
Champagne is also set to meet with members of Lebanon’s embattled government.
Many Lebanese believe the government is culpable for the explosion due to years of negligence and widespread corruption.
