In his latest push for job growth, Canada’s finance minister is eliminating $32 million in manufacturing tariffs.

The move by Jim Flaherty means Canadian manufacturers won’t have to pay customs duties to import key goods used in food processing, furniture and transportation equipment.

Flaherty said Sunday’s announcement is the latest step in the federal government’s commitment to make Canada a tariff-free zone for industrial manufacturers, and is part of a grand plan to foster job creation.
