Police departments across the country are cracking down on dangerous driving. Canada Road Safety Week is a police initiative designed to remind people that an essential part of the enforcement component is to save lives and reduce injuries on the road.
Police say their focus will be on what they refer to as the ‘Big 4 Killers’: impaired driving, aggressive driving, distracted driving and seat belt use.
Elizabeth Hall went out patrolling with Constable Brendan Kane of the Halton Regional Police Force to help stop dangerous drivers and to spread the word about the initiative.
Canada Road Safety Week began Tuesday and will run until Monday, May 23rd.
