Canada education falling behind

Canada is still falling behind when it comes to education.

The Canadian Council on Learning says while Canada does have strengths in education, we are not setting the conditions for future success.

It lays the blame on the failure of governments to work together to develop policies to improve the future of learning.

The non-profit council says about a quarter of Canadian children enter school without being ready, because of behavioural or learning problems.

The council also says boys are slipping significantly behind girls in learning.
