Canada announces the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will tour Canada this spring

Canada announced that Charles The Prince of Wales and Camilla The Duchess of Cornwall will tour Canada this spring.
The government says the pair will visit in May as part of the year-long celebrations marking the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II and her 70 year reign as Queen of Canada.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a statement on the upcoming Royal Tour of Canada.

“This spring, Canada will have the pleasure of welcoming Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to Newfoundland and Labrador, the National Capital Region, and the Northwest Territories,” said Trudeau in a statement. “During their visit, they will have the wonderful opportunity of seeing first-hand the diversity and kindness of Canadians and the beauty of our abundant natural landscapes that make us proud to call our country home
The three-day tour will see the royal couple meeting with different communities to hear their stories and experience their traditions and cultures.
The government says it will be an opportunity to highlight Canada’s military history, raise awareness of the impacts of climate change and showcase initiatives being developed to support local communities.
The complete itinerary for the tour will be released in the coming weeks.
