UPDATE: Argyle St. reopens after road blockade in response to attempted arrest

Ontario Provincial Police say Argyle St. is open again, after a brief closure following the attempted arrest of one of the protesters.
OPP say on Monday, officers went to the parking lot of a store in Ancaster to arrest a person facing outstanding charges.
Those charges are related to the ongoing protest at the Caledonia construction site known as McKenzie Meadows.
Police say as officers approached, the person got into the car and struck a police cruiser and another vehicle before driving away.
OPP say they have identified the driver.
In response, the group of protesters tweeted that they would block Argyle St., between 6th Line and Highway 6, for 24 hours in response to what they say is police escalation.

They say during Monday’s attempted arrest officers drew their weapons on the man, who was out getting groceries.
The current court injunction prohibits protesters from entering the construction site or blocking roadways.
The area reopened around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
