CAA 2016 worst roads

CAA has put out its worst roads in Ontario list of 2016.

County Road 49 in Prince Edward County road has been named the worst road in Ontario. It knocked off last year’s losing road in Timmins.

The auto club says the poll shows that more attention needs to be paid to smaller municipalities.

Participants cited potholes, congestion and pedestrian and cycling safety as reasons they participated in the online vote.

Queenston St in St. Catharines and Burlington St. E in Hamilton has made it to the Top 10 in Ontario.

Here are top 5 roads for Niagara:

1. Queenston Street, St. Catharines
2. Dominion Road, Fort Erie
3. Drummond Road, Niagara Falls
4. Lakeshore Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake
5. Grantham Avenue, St. Catharines

and the top 5 roads in Hamilton:

1. Burlington St. E
2. Governors Rd.
3. Barton St. E,
4. Main St. W
5. Parkdale Ave. N.
