Burlington truck pull

About 135 Burlington city staff flexed their muscles Thursday for a United Way fire truck pull.

City staff are racing to see which team can pull a 5 tonne fire truck just over 15 metres along Brant Street in the fastest time.

The event is expected to raise about $5,000 towards Burlington’s United Way 2012 goal of $65,000.
