Burlington teen gets a hero’s welcome after returning to school from Japan with a gold medal

The Canadian women’s under 18 hockey team returned home from the world championships in Japan this week with gold medals around their necks.

For Burlington’s Kendall Cooper, it was her first day back to class since the big win and her school had a warm welcome waiting for her.
