Burlington Skyway bridge construction

Four days after a dump truck crashed into the scaffolding on the Skyway bridge, Toronto-bound traffic continued to be diverted off the QEW on Sunday.

The truck that did the damage on Thursday, and the other vehicles stuck on the bridge, were removed on Saturday.

Ontario Provincial Police charged a 34-year-old Sukhvinder Singh Rai from Brampton with impaired driving. After collecting the necessary evidence, the OPP turned the scene over to the transportation ministry.

An update on the bridge is expected on Monday.
