Burlington purse snatching leads to car theft arrest
A purse-snatching victim helped Halton police track down her alleged attacker, and a stolen vehicle.
The woman was walking through the Mapleview mall parking lot Saturday morning, when a man grabbed her purse and took off, but not before she got the man’s licence plate number.
Police later boxed in the driver at a gas station at Burloak Drive and Harvester Road.
They say they found the stolen purse, and discovered the getaway vehicle had been reported stolen.
Paul Stubbs, 48, of Mississauga, is charged with robbery, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and driving while disqualified.
