Burlington man struck by vehicle at Cayuga race track: OPP

Norfolk County OPP is investigating after a Burlington man was struck by a vehicle at the Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around Saturday around 1:15 p.m., after witnesses reported a man had been hit by a vehicle.

Police say a sanctioned race was about to start and the man was struck by one of the vehicles approaching the starting line.

A 59-year-old Burlington man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A Facebook post from the race suggests the man has died.
