Burlington man killed in crash, three others injured including baby

Ontario Provincial Police has identified a 59-year-old man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Caledonia Monday afternoon.

Police say a grey SUV was travelling eastbound on Highway 54 around 2:25 p.m. when it attempted to make a left turn. The SUV was struck by a black pickup truck that was travelling westbound on the highway.

The driver of the SUV, 59-year-old Phillip Owen of Burlington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man, a woman and an infant that were travelling inside the pickup truck were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 54 was closed between Mckinnon Dr. and Onondaga Townline but reopened around 9:30 p.m.
