Burlington lift bridge closures

The Burlington lift bridge will be closed nightly all week, starting tonight from 11pm until 6am tomorrow for maintenance.

After the shipping season ends, the federal government plants to replace the bridge’s controls and overhead cables, which are over 50 years old.

Thousands of commuters use the bridge as an alternative to the Burlington Skyway every day.
