Burlington Humane Society raising money for medical treatment for ‘Dante’

The Burlington Humane Society is appealing to the community for help paying for a cat’s specific medical treatment.
Dante the cat is recovering from extensive facial re-construction surgery. He had a huge growth on his lower jaw, which gave him an excessive under bite, the result of ‘osteomylitis’ a rare bone infection.
“So when they did his bone surgery to remove the excess bone, that’s when they took out the lower incisors. So now he doesn’t have any teeth, that’s why his tongue sticks out and he drools all the time, but that just makes him more adorable.”
The Burlington humane society has set up a GoFundme page for Dante, and is hoping to raise $10 000 to recoup some of the money it spent on surgeries.
As soon as Dante has healed, he’ll be up for adoption.
