Burlington grass fire

A 14 year-old is facing charges after a grass fire near the 407 and Dundas Street in Burlington.

The fire caused a partial evacuation of a townhouse complex.

The fire started Saturday afternnon and quickly spread to a wooden hydro pole, downing a hydro wire and damaging three other poles.

The teen was apparently playing with a lighter.

He faces one count of arson, on count of mischief to property and failing to comply with a youth probation order.

He’ll appear in Milton court next month.
