Burlington fire ban in place

Burlington’s fire department has issued a fire ban — prohibiting all outside fires including permitted open air burns.

Fire officials say fires can rapidly spread during hot and dry periods.

If you don’t comply with the rules, you could be charged as much as $410 for every fire truck that responds.

You could face a fine as high as $50,000.
