Burlington crash takes out hydro pole

A woman is in hospital after crashing her car into a hydro pole in Burlington.

It happened around 12:30 this afternoon on Fairview west of Guelph Line. The crash brought down the pole, bringing down wires that hit another car heading eastbound.

The driver and passenger in that car are OK.

Hydro crews were on the scene for several hours. Later in the afternoon police opened one lane in each direction, but traffic was slow.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
