Burlington company gets govt $$$

Federal labour minister Lisa Raitt was in Burlington today to announce a new investment for a local company.

Raitt announced $676,000 in funding for Powerband Global. Powerband has developed a single platform system for buying, selling and financing vehicles that’s supposed to protect consumers and sellers of vehicles.

The money Powerband received also helped it to secure $2 million in private sector investment.
