Burgoyne Bridge closed to vehicles as of 10am today

A head’s up for drivers who travel in St. Catharines.

The full closure of the Burgoyne Bridge, which was originally scheduled to begin Monday, will now begin at 10 am this morning. The bridge will remain closed to vehicle and traffic until December 18th, but will remain open to pedestrians.

There will be detours in place, but you’ll want to give yourself plenty of extra time if you’re planning to drive in the area.
