DeMar DeRozan’s daughter, Diar, has gone viral on social media for screaming whenever the Raptors had a free throw Wednesday night, and it seemed to work for the Bulls.

The 9-year-old stole the show at the play-in tournament with shrieks from the stands, which possibly played a role in helping the Bulls defeat the Toronto Raptors 109-105 in an Eastern Conference elimination game.

Fred VanVleet had 26 points and 12 rebounds and Pascal Siakam scored 32 points, but Toronto’s season ended in disappointment. The Raptors missed 18 free throws – half of the shots they took.

Siakam had a chance to tie it late from the line but missed two of his three shots and the Raptors season was over.

DeRozan said Diar had to skip school to watch the game and he’s glad she did.

“I owe her some money for sure,” he said.

However, other factors also played a major role in the game as Zach LaVine scored 39 points and DeRozan had 23 against his former team.

The Miami Heat is the next stop for the Bulls on Friday in a elimination game, with a chance to make the playoffs and face Milwaukee in Round one of the East playoffs starting Sunday.

But good news for the Heat as DeRozan said his daughter isn’t going to Miami.

As for Toronto, it will be a long-off season with many changes ahead.
