Brock University students head back to campus in phased return to in-person learning

Brock University is welcoming back some students on Monday as the school begins its first phase of the return to in-person learning for the winter term.

The university says staff working in student-supporting roles will also be returning to campus.

The school says it will continue to work with provincial and local public health authorities to update current health measures as the situation evolves in the coming weeks.

A COVID-19 vaccine mandate is currently in place that requires all students and staff to be vaccinated to come to campus. Proof of vaccination status must be provided to the university. Those who meet specific and limited medical or human rights accommodation criteria will be subject to rapid antigen testing and enhanced screening protocols.

In addition to a first and second dose, all students living in residence must have a COVID-19 vaccine booster.

A mandatory self-assessment must be completed by all students, staff, faculty, and visitors each day before accessing a Brock University facility or attending an authorized university activity in an off-campus location.

All faculty, staff, students and visitors must also wear a face covering that covers the mouth, nose and chin when indoors in any campus building.

A range of campus services will also be available starting Monday including the reopening of some library and study spaces.
