Brock University moving its satellite campus to Burlington

Brock University will be relocating its Hamilton campus to Burlington.
The university is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with the city to find a site for the school.
Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward called the announcement “truly exciting news for Burlington.”
“It’s a win-win not just for Brock University, but Burlington will also benefit from getting a foothold in the post-secondary undergraduate world,” she said.
Brock has operated a satellite campus on King St. E in Hamilton for 20 years.
Last year, the school determined it would be too costly to do necessary updates on that location and opted to find a new site.
Brock says it’s looking for a more accessible location near public transit and main road networks to better serve students.
Brock sold its Hamilton campus in September. The agreement gives the university the option to continue to conduct research and teaching there until August 2022.
