Brock University honours namesake with statue

Brock University honored its namesake today by commissioning a Canadian artist to create a sculpture of Sir Isaac Brock.

Danek Mozdzenski will begin working on the 15-foot sculpture that will stand on the university’s campus in the Niagara region. The one-million dollar project was funded by a local businessman and will be unveiled next May, in a major event for the university’s 50th anniversary. The artist and his design were chosen among 27 bids by a selection committee.
