Bridge opening provides commuter relief

The closure of the Burlington Skyway Bridge has been playing havoc with commuters of all kinds.

The Red Hill Parkway to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway to Highway 403 is one of 4 alternate routes that drivers have been taking since the closure of the Burlington Skyway on Thursday. Traffic is moving slowly but it is moving. There are some bottlenecks giving drivers some headaches but commuters seem to have taken the advice of transportation planners and have avoided creating gridlock at the Skyway today.
