Brantford’s Grand River Chorus is looking for new talent to add to their ranks as the group celebrates its 25th year.

The mixed voice community choir is now recruiting new vocalists of all ages and experiences levels.

Around 60 members lend their voices to the group that brings to life a repertoire of classical, opera, jazz, gospel, opera and broadway music each year.

Members are expected to regularly attend rehearsals running every Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., along with the four concerts the choir holds each year.

Beyond practices alone, members can have the opportunity to take part in choir fundraising, social events and skill-building workshops.

The Chorus says they are aiming to continue to grow and diversify membership as the area evolves.

Chorus tenor Andy Blackwood calls the chance to be in a choir group the opportunity that “stretches your creative, vocal, and social skills.”

Anyone interested in joining the Grand River Chorus is asked to reach out by emailing info@grandriverchorus.com.
