Brantford teen charged after teacher reports threat of gun violence

A Brantford teen is facing charges after allegedly making a threat of gun violence.

Police received a call from an employee at a school on Rawdon St. in Brantford around 8:30 a.m. last Monday.

The employee reported that a threat of gun violence had been made.

The school was immediately placed in Hold and Secure while officers attended the school.

An 18-year-old Brantford resident was charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death.

Brantford police is reminding residents that all threats of violence are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.
