Three people hurt in RIDE check collision

OPP say three people were hurt in Brantford Friday night after a truck allegedly tried to dodge a RIDE check.

Police say it was a stolen pickup truck that attempted to evade RIDE, before colliding with a car.

The intersection of Colborne St. West and Gilkison St. was closed for part of the day, while the SIU investigated.

Two people in the car, and one person in the pickup were taken to hospital, but there’s no word on the extent of their injuries.

A second occupant of the truck fled on foot, but was arrested a short time later.
