Brantford police looking for man after ankle monitor removed

Brantford police are searching for a 31-year-old man after his court-ordered ankle monitor was removed and he disappeared from the scene.
Chad Wray-McCombs was released from the Toronto Detention Centre on July 15 under the condition that he wear an ankle mounted monitoring device. He was charged in connection with a shooting in April 2019 that injured a 23-year-old man.
Police were called around 12:30 p.m. the following day with reports that the ankle monitor had been tampered with, and the GPS showed a Brantford address.
Officers say they located the visibly damaged ankle bracelet, but could not find Wray-McCombs. Brantford police released a warrant for his arrest, and he will face additional charges.
Police warn the public to not approach Wray-McCombs if spotted, and to phone the police.
