Brantford police charge Brantford man for first-degree murder

Brantford police arrested a 48-year-old man early Sunday morning and have charged him with first-degree murder.

Officers responded to a call that a 34-year-old man was injured at around 11 p.m. Friday at a motel room found on Colborne Street near Locks Road.

Detectives say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, officers at around 3 a.m. Sunday arrested a Brantford resident.

Police say the man was held for a bail hearing.

As the investigation remains ongoing, they say they will not be releasing any further information.
