Brantford police arrest man in alleged assault with axe

Brantford police have arrested a man for an assault with a small axe.
On Sept. 1 around 4:45 p.m., police were called to Dunsdon St. It was reported that a 34-year-old man went to the victim’s residence and allegedly struck him with a small axe.
The 35-year-old victim sustained minor injuries. Investigation revealed the suspect was in violation of a valid order and valid probation order.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, failure to comply with judicial release order and breach of probation order.
