A 32-year-old man is facing multiple charges after Brantford police seized nearly $1 million worth of illegal drugs.

Officers launched an investigation targeting drug trafficking in the city earlier this month.

Investigators carried out search warrants Friday at four different locations throughout Brantford.

As a result, police recovered $971,297 in cocaine, ecstasy, psilocybin, hashish, dried cannabis and cannabis oil. Officers also seized a stun gun and cash.

Police then arrested and charged the Brantford man with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited device and possession for the purpose of distribution.

The accused was held for bail.
